SUMMARY:Summer Cotillion
DESCRIPTION:We are laying out the red carpet in honor of our first-ever intensive series of summer cotillion classes. The newly expanded ballroom\, adjoining the tearoom\, is the perfect setting for learning and practicing how to gracefully grow into charming young adults. \nThis summer series\, unlike the school year sessions\, will include the option to sign up for individual lessons – just one to all four of the classes. There is a total of four evenings (1.5 hrs) to acquaint students with the WHY and HOW behind the manners that parents are often trying to teach their children. \nStudents will cultivate strong\, clear methods of communication\, interaction and dining while joyfully dancing along the way. Our goal is to strengthen character and awareness in your maturing child. This is a time to foster new friendships\, polish personal style and develop composure. These are the lessons that help make confident and kind young adults. \nWe are thrilled to set the stage\, set the table\, and offer a new voice that will help reinforce these valuable and life-long lessons in your maturing child! \nFood will be offered during each session. \nAge: 9-14 years old \nSchedule:\nWednesday\, July 24th from 6-7:30pm\nIntroductions\, Salutations & Body Language\n(Punch & cookies)\n$49 \nFriday July 26th\, 2024 from 6:00pm-7:30pm\nCommunication Skills\n(Passed hors d’oeuvres & beverages)\n$49 \nMonday July 29th\, 2024 6:00pm-7:30pm\nDining\n(Catered dinner)\n$75 \nTuesday July 30th\, 2024 6:00pm-7:30pm\nPersonal Style\, Grace and Chivalry with Dancing\n(Tea service)\n$68 \nDress Code: Ladies\, show off your style with a dress\, skirt or classy slacks. Put on those dancing shoes\, we recommend a flat or low heel. Gentlemen\, a collared shirt and pressed shorts go a long way\, but if you want to be bold\, tie up those ties\, pull out your slacks\, polish your shoes. SUMMARY:Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Camp is from 9:00am-3:00pm\nExtended Care is from 8:00am-5:00pm \nAges 4-11\nAges 12-15 (Counselor in Training Role) \nManners\, Tea & Craft Camp\nIt is no secret interaction with peers is a key component to a well-rounded education. By becoming part of this small camp environment\, your child will enjoy the merits of a comfortable and safe setting for social interaction\, hosted by caring staff. Manners Camp is an ongoing skill building program\, encouraging positive behaviors\, responsibility and good old-fashioned fun. Lessons in etiquette and social graces along with arts\, crafts and creative play for every age is a staple to each day. \nLUNCH\nPlease plan to send your child with a packed lunch. We will let you know if catered lunch is available the day prior to camp. \nEXTENDED CARE\nExtended care covers additional play time from 8-9am and 3-5pm. This is a flat rate\, which is not pro-rated for singular attendance to morning or afternoon care. Late pick-ups will be charged. \nSCHEDULE\n8-9am: Early Bird drop off\n9-10am: Morning exercises (treasure hunts\, stretching and dancing)\n10-11:15am: Table manners and tea time\n11:15-12:00pm: Clean up and play time\n12-1pm: Semi-fancy lunch followed by big screen movie & time to rest\n1-2pm: Outdoor games (weather permitting)\n2-2:45pm: Arts & crafts\n2:45-3pm: Clean up and prepare for parent pick up\n3-5pm: Late Owl pick up \nREFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS\nCamp reservations are non-refundable. It is our pleasure to transfer your registration with at least one week notice to any available date through the remainder of 2024. \nCOUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM (CIT) \nThis program is a wonderful addition to our Manners and Tea Camp and geared specifically for older campers who feel they have grown out of the normal camp but still enjoy the tearoom (11 years and older). \nAs CITs\, they take a more active leadership role in learning effective ways to interact with younger children\, help with set up\, cleanup and transitioning between crafts and activities. They have a behind the scenes view of camp and become part a valued part of our TEAm. CITs receive advanced training in the art of etiquette and social graces while also enjoying a spot of tea and all the other fun aspects of camp. \nMrs. B often takes the CITs off-site\, with parental permission\, to a coffee shop or nearby café to develop more advanced approach to the skills we teach and model as well as review their progress and performance. \nPlease register your child for camp as you would normally but in the notes section mention you are registering as a CIT.
