DESCRIPTION:Ages: 4 and older (must be potty trained) \nMinimum: 4 children \nIt is no secret interaction with peers is a key component to a well-rounded education and upbringing. This small camp environment allows children to enjoy the merits of a comfortable and safe setting for social interaction\, hosted by caring staff. Manners Camp is an on-going skill building program\, encouraging positive behaviors\, responsibility and good old-fashioned fun. Lessons in etiquette and social graces along with arts\, crafts and creative play for every age is a staple to each day. \nLUNCHPlease send your child with a packed lunch. \nEXTENDED CAREEarly bird drop-off (8-9am) and Late Owl pick-up (3-5pm) are included in Extended Care. This is a flat rate\, which is not pro-rated for singular attendance to morning or afternoon care. Late pick-ups may be charged Extended Care fee. Any pick-ups after 5pm will be charged a late fee. \nSCHEDULE9-3pm: CAMP9-10am: Morning exercises (treasure hunts\, yoga\, dancing)10-11:15am: Table manners and tea time11:15-12:00pm: Clean up and play time12-1pm: Semi-fancy lunch followed by big screen movie time to rest1-2pm: Outdoor games (weather permitting)2-2:45pm: Arts & crafts2:45-3pm: Clean up and prepare for parent pick up \nREFUNDS/CANCELLATIONSCamp reservations are non-refundable. Whether your child needs to strengthen his or her communication skills\, improve dining habits\, or be reminded of how to engage in social settings\, this is the course for it! \nMrs. B’s positive approach and time-tested lessons on dining etiquette and general comportment encourages children to bring the lessons home and make them their own. Each session is catered to the children in attendance\, but often include: \n– introductions\n– carrying on conversation\n– reading social queues\n– formal and informal table settings\n– verbal and written communication\n– serving ourselves and others\n– using utensils properly\n– anticipating and reacting kindly \nWe are passionate about teaching practical manners in the most engaging and impressionable way. Good manners\, after all\, are a ticket to elevated experiences and good times in life. The way one behaves is a gift to oneself and to others. \nThis is an excellent opportunity for children to make new friends\, learn new things\, and to practice navigating social gatherings with ease and joy.
